Default Speed Control Problem?

I just got a new Axial Kit and i got a novak 55t motor and a AI runner series automatic programmable speed control, and a Futaba reciver. Well my questionis that when i try to put the car in reverse i have to hold down the trigger for at least 5 seconds until the car would move. Does anyone have any solutions????

I have never heard of that ESC, but many have a reverse delay. If it is programmable, you may be able to program it out (via instructions), but if not, you are stuck with a reverse delay.
