| Dead Losi MRC
During the last run of my MRC I was working on a fairly angled climb. This required me to go slow and steady. The MRC did not like this and I could smell something (burning/melting?) from the MRC and then it stopped working. I quickly shut if off and disconnected the battery wire. Later that night I turned on the MRC and a red light came on the ESC and it would not respond. The servo and troddle were both dead. I called Losi support and they sent a new ESC. I got it in today and plugged it in, but much to my dismay I am getting the same results. Nothing. Even with a new ESC it does not work. I don't have any spare parts as this is my into into the RC world. I looked through the manual and online for others having this issue, but I am not finding anything. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

~ 5 Minutes off and on. I was trying different parts of the rock and then picking it up and moving it to different parts. I was seeing how it handled in different situations. It was going very slow at the time of the burn out. I don't know if it was too much stress. The incline was less than 2 ft.

Since you had no response from the servo & ESC... -Are you sure your battery is charged and plugged in? -How about any unplugged wires out of the receiver? -Have you tried to re-bind the radio/receiver together? -Are you skipping a step after installing the new ESC? Setup procedure? -Any water happen to get into the receiver? |

-I am going to check the battery with a voltage meter today. It was charged, but I don't know if something happened to it. - I made sure everything is plugged in. I also tried to see if any other lights turn on if I don't have anything plugged in, but I get the same results. - I have gone through the rebinding of the receiver, but it did not help. - I have gone through the setup of the ESC (as per the directions), but it did not help. - The system has always been kept dry. |
