Default Metal trans gears=glitching?

I've had some problems using the Stampede trans with metal gears. The transmission was in several different rigs, and no matter how I mounted the electronics or routed the wiring it glitched like a MOFO (undriveable). I changed the rx, servo, everything...same results. I even swapped out the brushless motor/esc, and the same problem continued. The only common denominator was the trans. Is there a specific grease or lube I could use to eliminate the electrical "noise" generated by the metal to metal contact of the gears? Anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks,
T.D.

That might have been a mistake on my part, I didn't use anything on the gears. Thanks, I'll have to open her up and try some lube.
