I don't think the Elite cells were designed with long life in mind as a top priority. I have one pack that does fine that's 6 months or more old, one pack pretty much died right off the bat. A couple more packs are ok that are a month old.
Thanks. Well, I am sure there is no warranty on these things, but I hope no packs die off right away, for me. I'm looking at getting some of these cells, and then I'll probably build my own packs. I have a buddy who just ordered some 8 cell 2/3A packs. I know he'll be disappointed if any of them die right away.

You find your cells on e-bay? I couldnt find any. Also, what is the performance difference between 1600, 1500, 1400, and 1200 cells besides run time?

Thanks for the link. I like cheap and I like making my own packs, what size shrink do you use? I firgured that I would need 5" around shrink wrap, where can I get some of that?

Ok sweet. 8 cells it is, so 3" shrink wrap will cover the 4 cell clumps? Oh and the kil, why did you move to a BEC with your FXR?

Well I know this is off topic but I run 3600mah with a 27t silver can motor. And 12t/87t BUT its a 1.9 scaler and I get 45-50 minutes.

for the next step LIPO"S also to control the voltage to my servo and 20 bucks to protect your fxr seems like a cheap investment and piece of mind
