Default new elec. = no torque

Ok, so i just installed a new Rooster and a Elite 1500 2/3A pack (6 cell ax style from cheap batteries) into my wheelie king. My question is this...

how long do you need to charge new batterys befor they have full power? I let this pack charge for a good 3-4 hours and it lasted all of >1 of run time? It would drive around on my carpet but when it touched anything to crawl over, would just stop

I put the battery on the charger this morning and will see how it acts after a full day of charging, but i wonder if the esc is draining it faster or what?

any thoughts for this nooby

With my charger, Dynamite Vision peak ultra I charge my GP1100 6 cell @1.25 amps for about an hour and they are peaked. I would recommend buying a good Peak charger with adjustable amperage.

WOW, full day! Those are the same packs I run, they are a little short on speed with my Rooster Crawler and 65T motor, but they supply good power (30-45mins). I charge them with a Piranha Peak charger at 1 amp, it takes about an hour to charge the packs.

3 to 4 hours? Yikes. Unless the charge rate was 500 mili-amps, you probably fried the cells.

One of the guys from TCS explained to me the first 5 times of charging these batteries you should do it at .2 amps. Then you can go to 1.5amps

Yea...something is up with those cells. Either you fried them like Treday619 said or your charger is junk and giving a false reading. I would suggest upgrading your charger, something that has built in limits...such as cell size, time, charge rate, etc. My super brain works awesome. IT's the black one that is in 2 pieces. Worth every penny, plus it does lipos
