Default Rooster Esc

I have had my rooster crawler combo for quiet some time now and i notice last time i took my crawler out that the forward braking was not working very good and sometimes at all, but reverse still works fine, has anyone had this problem before?

Ive had mine for about a year now and noticed the same problems. It will hold in reverse fine , but the forward braking has dropped to weak or at times none existant. hard to control at times. I think I will just swap out to mamba max in the near future.

Clean you motor and use a com cleaner to get the carbon buildup off the commutator. Do the same for the brushes. Liberally spay the parts down with CRC electroclean or Parma Blast Off (If they still make it) This should return you brake power and give the motor an extended life. For around $10 you can have like new performance again, as opposed to around $100 dollars for new ESC and another $20-$40 for a new motor.

If you have any forward trim dialed in it will not have the same amount of brake as reverse. Plus trim in either direction will reduce braking in that direction.

How do you clean the motor,do you have to take it apart or just spray it down? And where do I get some cleaner?
