Default Motor Capacitor question

I've got a speed gem 15t motor that has capacitors built into the endbell. I seem to still have a bit of glitching when i first start to accelerate before it finally smooths out. My question is will i damage anything if i were to solder on external capacitors without removing the stock one's? I get 0 glitching with my other two motors neither of which have capacitors.
