Default Best radio for dig and winch on a shafty?

I see what appears to be a lot of different opinions posted. I want a radio that can run the transmission and a winch on a highlift and dig on a 2.2 crawler. What best fits the bill?

any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Can this be done with a 3R or 6i?

well you ll need

1 cnl for steering
2 cnl for thrt
3 cnl for Dig
4 cnl or Winch
5 cnl for tranny

so a 3 channel unit with servo stretcher likely wouldnt work unless you used 2 and stretch 2 channels on the 3R.
or a 4 channal radio.

so i would think you ll need minimun a 4chn radio with a servo stretcher, like a React which i run, a 4PK (both May need a servo stretcher. not sure on the 4PK, bu the React is pretty scalable, so maybe able to work if setup canbe done), or the DX6i or similair with 5 channels or more.

yawzer. how are you controling 5 channels with a 3 channel radio? hows your setup? im interested in your scourcery!

Futaba 4PK works perfectly. I just set up a winch down suspension on my 2.2 comp crawler and I still have that 4th channel left over for the dig

Also with all the different adjustments available I was able to fine tune the speed of the winch to adjust how fast it winches up/down on the fly.

the op wants to use 5 channels. how, if any of you are, setting up your 4PKs to run 5 functions? I have the React with Dig and a winch on my tuber, but on the scaler, im going to use a 3speed, dig, winch and lights. so im figureing 2 Punk RC stretchers, one on 3 and one on 4. lights and dig on one, 3speed and winch on other.

Re-read his post. It looks like he needs 4 channels on his scaler and 3 on his comp rig.

That is how I read it as well. He calls out his Hi-Lift and 2.2.

ah ok, i missed that part. i was thinking it was on one rig.

in that case. a 3 chnl with the punk rc SS or a 4chnl radio will do fine.

If yor leaning toward a 6ch I have this one and you cant beat the price. It is versital but takes a bit to figue out the programing on the PC/Laptop.
That's the only draw back also, to switch models you load the program to the remote.
