http://www.gruberpower.com/gruberpow...PS-12-12f2.asp Something like this is what I had thought about using for remote locations. Only 10lbs and sealed lead acid....

Funny enough, to charge that, use your Hyperion when you get home and have 110v power. Charge it as a lead acid.

Don't they have power-pack/booster-packs in the US? I'd imagine those would work just fine... 300A 12vdc or 300a 12vdc/120vac

That's what I was going to say. If you have an AC/DC charger, you don't need a power supply. You can run the charger with a DC input like a car battery, or with AC inputs at home, with a 120VAC outlet.

If I crawl around my car thats fine. But if I have to park in a parking lot and hike a trail or whatever Id prefer not to leave the hood up with a free charger for any one to barrow...

Get a little lead acid battery. One for a riding lawnmower is fine. 10amp hours or bigger I say.

Those sealed batts for portable fish finders work good as well. Not to mention their cheap. Jason

If you carried 4lb of spare batteries you could crawl for 5-6 hours and have six pounds left over. Last edited by One-eyed Jack; 01-30-2009 at 03:50 PM.
