| Running your steering servo right off the battery
i run 7.4 v lipos in my crawler. whats the differance if i run a cc bec or just wire the servo direct to the battery ?????? |

Most servos are only rated for 6 volts. You can run them off 7.4 but it probably wont last long. The new jr servos are rated for a 2c lipo. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...dID=JRPS8711HV |

my servo says max 7.2 volt i do know it might get alittle warm but might be worth the trade off |

that .2 volt may be enough to smoke the servo.the motor will hang but the ic chips might not.

that's what the BEC does and is programable to 6.0 volts, so why risk frying your servo................bob .... |
