| how do i discharge 2/3a 9 cell packs?
So i got some 9 cell packs coming i am going to break down and make into 7's. My question is if my truck will only run 7 cells, how do i discharhe these before soldering up? Could i just rip them apart into 7's and tape them together for 1 drain? or is there a better way? |

Use an 1157 automotive bulb, attach a plug to match the plug on the pack. Watch it when the light dims down your done. Don't let the bulb go out completely though or the cells may reverse on you. This is how I have done it, if someone else has something better lets both of us know. |

I don't feel it's necessary to discharge the cells, just to reconfigure the pack, or build a whole new one. They'll be fine.

| Yes, but be certain that you use a good soldering iron with a large chisel tip. The larger the iron tip is, the more heat it will retain, and the quicker you can get off the cell. Stay on it too long, and you'll damage it.
