Default Airtronics M11 settings for "push-button" dig control

These are instructions for setting up your crawler with a servo operated dig unit. You will need at least a 3 channel receiver and the dig servo plugged into channel 3. This setup will allow the use of dig or drive with the simple push of a button. No more turning the dial and guessing. The only disadvantage for some drivers is that it will not allow for the use of free wheel.
These settings can be altered to incorporate free wheel into the settings. Unfortunately I am unable to list exact directions on how to do this because every truck setup will be different and it will have to be adjusted per vehicle. Feel free to play around with the settings and alter as much as possible.
Your throttle and steering adjustments should be made accordingly and the settings for the dig will not alter those at all if performed properly. Please understand that you may have to make slight adjustments for your servo throw.
The BOLD UNDERLINED headings indicate which setting you need to go to, and the values underneath indicate what needs to be changed.
“key”-ASGN ( “key” is an actual picture of a key in front of –ASGN )
Display should look like:
[SW] TRIM
FUNC SW1 SW2 SW3
1: ------ C-MIX1 LAP-T
2: ------ C-MIX2 INT-T
3: ------ ------ DWN-T
SET-UP
Change CHANNEL option to 4
C-MIX
Under [C-MIX2] make sure the values are set to the following:
MASTER > AUX1 SLAVE AUX
H 150% OFFSET 150
L -150% C-MIX INH
Under [C-MIX1] make sure the values are set to the following:
MASTER > AUX1 SLAVE AUX
H -150% OFFSET -150
L 150% C-MIX ACT
EPA
Under END POINT ADJUSTMENT, make sure that the following are set:
3CH 4CH
150%H - - -
150%L 0%B
For ST and TH, make adjustments accordingly for your steering and throttle.
SERVO
Before starting, look on the right side of the display. You will see a section with the following:
TRM-S L0 D/R 100
TRM-T H0 EPA-B 100
TRM-B H0 3CH 0
Make sure that 3CH is 0. If not, this can be adjusted by turning the Dial on the front panel.
Once this is set, you may continue.
Under SERVO MONITOR you should be able to see the actions that the channels play.
Make sure that STEERING is operating normally.
Make sure that THROTTLE is operating normally.
When pressing SW2 (located underneath the controller above your thumb), it will actively cause 3CH: AUX to switch between H and L.
4CH : BRAKE should not be active at all.

here's another way to do it, if you want 3 position dig (4wd-2wd-dig)

assuming all settings are at thier defaults:
First you have to enable the 4channel setting. I think it's in the SETUP menu.

Then you have to assign channel 3 to the switch you want to use. I use TRM3 for dig, but you can use any switch you want.

go to the ASGN menu
pick which TRM button (switch) you want to use as dig
set it's STEP to 100 (this makes ONE click move the servo it's full travel, which you will adjust with EPA...)

Go to the EPA menu
Turn the EPA for channel 3 to ZERO in both directions. (for now)

setup your dig, and increase the EPA as you test it, increasing slowly until your servo buzzes, then back off a hair.

used all of these instuctions, but adjusting the epa doesnt do enough adjusting to get my dig servo to start and stop where i would like it to. (this was hard to put into words so sorry if i sound like i dont know what im talking about) is there another adjustment i can use to get the start and stop point closed to servo 0?

I used this way and it worked perfectly. You must have a setting off. Recheck all your settings and then follow the above instructions again.

Will this controller work with front and rear steer and a dig unit that uses a micro servo? Would I be able to set end points for everything? I am tired of burning up servos I am looking at getting one and want to make sure it is what I need before spending that kind of money.

4th Channel is break only. Used on 1/4 scale with disk brakes on the wheels. i use it on my 1/8 scale electric conversion using mechanical brakes.
