Default hook up bec to lipo balance port

Has anyone tried hooking up a cc bec through the balance port on a lipo battery. I was thinking this may be a different way to hook it up without soldering in the main connector.

The balancing circuit board may ruin this ides though?

the balance ports on a lipo are relative voltage ports to each cell (that's how the balancer balances the cells)

It could work but you'd have to put the leads into series, THEN hook to the BEC (or you'd only get 3.7V) be careful, this would be a very good way to short out a cell and puff the pack.

make a deans adaper that goes from male to female and solder the BEC leads to that - then you won't have to solder on to the ESC leads

why don't you want to solder to the main connector?

The bec needs to be soldered to the esc side of the plug, why would you want it on the battery side? there would be no way to turn it off?

Mines between the batt plug and esc, I have to unplug the batt for it to shut off...How else would it be powered?
