Default **6v BEC and DX3R Question**

My new set up is going to require running a 6v Castle BEC as my servos are weak and twitchy after some stress are you removing the red wire from the ESC and plugging directly into your SR3100 bind/battery slot?

I ask because I just did that and my receiver worked for about 15 minutes and quit working.

I have a new receiver but I don't want to risk the same result am I missing something is there another way to wire a BEC?

To send 6volt only to servo: get a "Y" harness, plug BEC and servo into female slots; disconect poss/neg wires to male-plug (leaving signal only) plug into Steering slot on RX. (of course connect BEC power wires to Batt) This isolates the steering servo from the rest of the system, thus in a bind you won't shut system down!! Try it, works great!! BTW..you don't diconnect red wire from ESC to RX....with this set-up

I run the power wires straight to the servo.

This is the best way that I have found to hook up a BEC into your setup. There is no way to overload your reciever and shut the system down.

the signal wire on the bec will cause certain recievers to unbind. try to rebind it, it might not be dead
