I have a similar problem, I changed the programing from 1.17 to 1.16 and it worked for a couple months then started again. Changed it 1.20 and it worked for a couple hrs, then back to it. I have to send it in. (BEC, JR8711, dual 55t, 1500mah 25c 3s)

not using a bec but do have one ready!!

What is 1.17-1.16---1.20??

what im guessing is because of the higher voltage its producing more amp draw then the 7.4 and the known weak internal bec is causing the sidewinder to shut down from a spike of amperage

I will try the external bec and see what happens..thanks for the advice

I think that you have the li-po cut-off voltage changed to high. If your using a 2S li-po it should be 3V's per cell (based on a 7.4V it should be 2S) the cut-off should be set at 6V's. If it is a 3S(11.1V's) it would be set at 9V's. It may be that the battery pulls down to 9V's when you run & after it sit's the voltage comes back up & the speedo works until the voltage drops down past 9V's

Put that BEC in. The higher volts make the inernal BEC burn off more volts in the form of heat to get the 11.1 down to 6 volts.
