Hey, I'm building my new RX pack for my super, I'll be using a1/4 scale servos and a castle bec. Is 6-2/3A 1500 cells too much for the setup. Am I going to cook something @ 6.0 Volts. Not sure, searched, and never really came up w/ a definate answer. Thanx for your time in advance.

If it is a stand alone rec. pack you only need 5-2/3a's. 5 of them is 6 volts, 6 of them is 7.2 volts. At 7.2 you could cook some stuff.

Tower Pro 9805MG & a 805 Hitec are the servos I'm planning on running.

The OP says he will be using a Castle BEC. The Castle BEC can easily handle the voltage from 6 cells. In fact I would use 6 cells instead of 5 to give the BEC some headroom to operate. With a switching BEC like the Castle there isn't a big loss in efficiency using a higher voltage pack like there would be with a linear BEC. One thing with the Castle BEC is the default output comes set to 5.1V. You will need a Castle link and PC to change the output to 6V. ~petev

Why use a BEC if you're going to use a battery pack?
