I'm back with more questions. I just picked up the rooster crawler combo and have a few questions before I hook it up. How is everyone connecting the motor lead wires to the motor? Plugs? Soldered straight to the motor? Something else? Also are you using the stock tamiya plug? I read in the manual that installing a different plug would void the warranty. But I also read in the rooster thread that a few people have had no problem with warranty work as long as novak thinks the soldered on new plugs are done right. Just trying to get some input on what seems to work best for everyone, that way I'm not going back and doing it again. Also I plan on putting the ESC on the underside of the RTR battery plate in the same postion that the stock one was in. This is temporary until I figure out a final setup in which I move it possibly on the upper links. Will some heavy duty velcro hold it in place? Thanks for the help, Eric

Solder the leads to the motor. Use a deans plug. Velcro works fine, but get the good kind.

Put a deans or banana plugs between the motor and ESC. Makes swapping motors allot easier as well as tearing down or rebuilding the truck.
