Default Best and cheapest lipo charger

Want to get into lipo, but want a good charger that's a good price.
What do you use? And what's your average run time?

I would look into Electrifly's chargers (triton) I run ckrc 3s 1500mah lipos and get in excess of 1 hour run time per pack.

Well, do you want "best" or "cheapest"?? You wont get the best of both worlds...

I'm looking at the same thing right now, the best bang-for-the-buck charger I can find is the Onyx 230. Just about everyone raves about it, it will charge just about everything out there. The only down side I have heard is it will only charge one battery at a time and it doesn't discharge packs.

Onyx 230 doesn't have a built in balancer though so you'd end up buying one of those - By the time you do that you are better off with a Hyperion 606i

All I run is turnegy now, I have been running them in my planes as well as using there accucell 6 for over a year now.I have never had problems with it, and there batterys are well proven. My astro flight only goes on when my two accucells ae full.

Hobbycity stocks the accucell in the US also.

tunigy accell a-6
Imax b-6

they are the same thing. and you can usaullly find them for really cheap they balance and charge all in one.

I have an Imax b6 ac that even has the power supply built in, I got it for 75$ off flea bay.

I would recommend the Venom Pro AC/DC Charger. You can pick one up for about $129. The one thing I have learned is you don't want to go cheap on a charger. The Venom also has a balancer and when I am charging my batteries they do not even get warm.

I definitely would not want to set my house on fire.

The turnigy accucell -6 is the way to go. Its $40 and balances just as well as the overpriced chargers on the market. Not to mention it will pretty much charge any battery

the good thing about the turnigy charger from hobbycity is that you can order some zippy or rhino lipo batteries at the same time and save some shipping charges

I have the ONYX 230 and it works great. Yeah I had to buy a balancer, but that was only $10. My batteries never get over room temp.

ps dont get venom crap. over priced same thing is turingy and b5. I think the best bang for the buck is the triton eq with built in power supply and balancer. It cant compete with the charger that use a power supply seperate becuase they charge at much higher rates. But i would get a triton eq or triton eq2. the eq is only 125$ minues 25 on towers

I will agree with the Imax guys. I have a B6 and a B8. The B8 outperforms in every single aspect the pricey pulsar 3 I had for my cars. Plus it was half the money shipped to my door. One year of abuse and it is still in great shape. Charge and balance everything up to 8 cells.

I'll second this one. I ordered a charger from them on a Friday and it was on my doorstep the next Monday.
