Default Rooster Crawler issues

Hey, I have a Novak Rooster Crawler ESC and I'm not getting any response when I pull the trigger on my TX. I have a cc bec hooked up. The lights on the esc are not lit up when the power is on but when you unplug the RX wire they flash a bit and then go out.

I have connected the battery directly to the motor for a second or two just to see if it was my motor and it works fine. My steering, and my dig servo work fine also.

What I'm wanting to know is, is my esc bad and should I replace it or is there something I havn't tried yet that might fix it.

I will take all advise given as I have no money to replace it right now. Thanks for the help.

If you unplug the ESC from the RX, and turn it on you should get solid lights.

If you get "no lights", your ESC may be damaged.

Also, make sure to check the basics, ESC connected to the correct channel, and that the harness is in the correct direction on the ESC and in the RX. It will fit both directions but only work one way.

why do you have a seprate bec connected as the rooster has a 6volt 3 amp bec for the servos .

make sure all the plugs is connected corectley and in the right slot .

have you programed the esc to your tx/rx as you will need to do this .

is your battery fully charged as the rooster esc has a volt cut of so if the battery is low it wont work.

Yes, I did have the red wire pulled from the plug and I taped it back so it wouldn't interfeer.

The reason for the CC BEC was a sugjestion by a friend who is an electrical engineer who got me deeper into this hobby after I met him on here.
