Default ~~ Need some ESC + Lipo Help Please ~~

Hello All,

I am in need of some ESC's. I am trying to convert all my Scalers to Lipo power, because of their smaller size and better power. I need five ESC's total. So my question is, what is the best budget ESC that handles Lipo? I am just running 55 turns.

Any Replies will be Greatly Appreciated\

Thanks,

Daniel

I like the rooster, but they are a little pricy for me and they are pretty large in size, I don't have alot of room to work with.

Would a 1/18 ESC work?

CC Sidewinder... they are about $75 each, brushed/brushless... can handle 3s, and have a Lipo cut off...

Yeah I would go for cc sidewinders. Great value for money But buy an fxr are put it in your favorite scaler They are the best esc for rock crawlers and they are tiny!! I would steer clear of 1/18th speedos as they have very low amp ratings. If you are tight on space get a fxr. they are not that much more then a sidewinder if you look around Hope that helps mate

Just throwing out an option, if you're happy with how your stuff runs now, you can add a "lipo cutoff" module as well. There are more then a few out there these days.

They get connected to the ESC and plug inline with the ESC to the RX and will stop the truck if you get to the low voltage point. Some have lights that flash that can be mounted in a windo so you get a visual too.

budget wise I would go with a sidewinder. If your worried about size and can afford it I would go with a Tekiin FXR. I know some guys in the past have run mamba 25's with the new firmware on 2s with a 55t motor. I don't know if I would do it though. It would be maxed out like that.

I think I will shop around and try to get some used Sidewinders then. Maybe a Teklin FXR... Also do I need to get any sort of BEC if I get the sidewinders?
