Default Clocking of Tekin RS Motor in a LOSI?!?!?

I Have: Tekin RS 17.5 motor installed in Losi 1/10 Comp Crawler.

Problem: When motor is installed I have two senarios.......
1. Motor connections are into the side of the frame.
OR
2. The connection points on the motor interfer with
the dig linkage movement.

Question: Is there anyway for me to clock the motor so it will be positioned
so the connections will be at the top and centered.

it so the connections will be at the top and centered.
At this time I can only have it at 2 o'clock or 10 o'clock
and the "perfect" position would be at 12 o'clock.......
I hope this makes sense.

Kerry

Drill new holes in the motor mount? Haven't seen the losi mount so not sure if its a plate or something else.

BUT...................I did get it figured out....I went from an 18 to 13 tooth pinion and that gave me the room. Glad I did go lower.......it's nice and slow, but has some wheel speed if needed. I did spend 6 hours though on the phone with Tekin and Spektrum to get the ESC to finally work correctly. I found errors in Tekins manual and they said they will address that , as well as possibly adding more "clocking" holes to the bellcap and maybe help with future clearance problems........ And I have some issues with the Losi and they don't rreturn calls as they promise.......Kerry

It seems that both of my DX3 radios would not allow the Tekin ESC to see "neutral throttle" .............after a variety of tests and f'ing around I got the guy on the phone at Tekin that designed the RS ESC's and he figured it out that the radios needed to have "extreme" throttle trimming and sub-trimming..really odd but it all worked out . When using my DX3 I had to reverse the throttle to get it to program. odd:?

Do you have a hotwire? Im wondering how the timing advance works when used in the Losi. I hava a 21.5/RS in my SCX Scale truck and Boost setting at 100 and it is really fast. I have not really noticed a loss in TQ or slow speed control but it is in a Scale truck.
