Default Problem with JR 8711

I'm running the 8711 with a bec set to 6.0 volts. It's wired with the esc red wires uplugged (not direct to the servo) I've ran my berg for around 2 weeks and now the servo is to the point that it will lock up under very little pressure at all. Any ideas what it could be?

What do you mean, lock up? Your radio won't turn it anymore?

Yes. For example, It will turn 20% and it just stops at that under very little/ no load

What BEC is it? If its a Castle then nevermind but if not what is the amp rating?

Is this a new problem or have you even been able to get the servo running properly?

Hmm, I don't know then. It just sounded like the servo was over amping the BEC. Don't think that's possible with the 10A CCBEC though.

all of my 8711 servos get really hot too!
I had a similar issue where it was amping out and it would just sit and twitch!
I fixed it with the spektrum capacitor and a new BEC, I have seen a couple castle BEC's have issues with the 8711 though

I just got a 8711 and it seems like it has trouble finding center when its just sitting there. If you wait a minute it will stop making noise but if you move it it starts agian. It doesnt seem to get to hot or anything. Is this just the nature of the beast? Or is it because I'm using a digital servo with a analog am radio?

No probs w/mine on a CCbec @ 6.0v, but I've heard/read that the digital JR's are some of the loudest servos there are . .

Is it possible that it's not your servo having problems? Disconnect your servo horn and make sure your tie rods and knuckles are not binding.

It is a very noisy servo to begin with. Check to make sure that you haven't stripped any gears in it.
