Default help sidewinder

my castle creation is hooked up right and everything and it wont controll the motor. it works fine on brushless just not brushed. i have a 55 turn hooked to on 11.1 volts.

You need to reprogram it to run in brushed mode. I think this can be accomplished without the Castle Link, but the Link is the easiest way to gain full adjustability of the sidewinder!

it is programed for reversable brushed.

running the latest firmware? I forget what firmware it was but at one point you needed to use the red and WHITE wire IRRC to get brushed motors too run... if you have the latest firmware then thats not the problem.

im running the latest firmware and in the manual it shows red and black. does the newest frimware make you use red and white.

Nope... latest firmware uses red and black... sorry it was not so simple. Are you sure the motor is good? maybe a hung brush keeping it from starting?

i touched it to just the battery and it took off. so the motor is good. i think i have a bad esc that wont run brushed motors. because it will run brushless just fine.

the motor should be jumpy if the ESC is programmed for brushless on a brushed motor. Give Castle a call, their support is top notch.

I have a sidewinder that only runs brushed motors, not brushless. I also programmed it right.
