Default Sidewinder losing power

I just put in a sidewinder esc in my truck but now when i turn to full lock left or right the truck wants to stop. as soon as i let off the steering just a little it will take of going again. what could be causing this?

What servo? What battery?What radio? I bet you need a external BEC.

Sounds a lot like the problem I had with my SideWinder.. A BEC fixed it right up and haven't had a problem since

since the steering power is coming from the esc it draws to much amp so the throttle power is lost momentarrily. if you want to get by and not work your servo as hard turn down the end points so the servo doesnt lock at the sides.

thanks for the help. ordered a castle bec yesterday. hopefully that will take care of it.
