Default Servo Suggestions?

I am looking to finally plunk down the $$ for a decent servo. My rig is a WK axled, Axial chasis & transmission basher. I am running the stock WK radio/receiver and ESC with a 3300 mah split pack battery. I have killed several 150 oz- 230 oz servos.

Any suggestions on a 400 oz + servo in the $100-$140 range? One that will last me for awhile.

Thanks,
Ryan

I just put in a JR8711 a couple weeks ago and it is pretty sweet.

It can shove your rig around like a ragdoll so make sure you have some beefy knuckles and c's to handle whatever high torque model you decide on.

Whichever servo you do buy be extremely careful running it with the stock radio.
I have the feeling you are killing them because you cant set endpoints with that radio!!
That will burn them up in a heartbeat!!
I run the Jr 8711 and a HV JR8711. Love em. But i wouldnt even think of running them on a system i couldnt set endpoints.

You are killing me, now I need to upgrade my radio before I buy the servo? This hobby keeps getting more & more exspensive.

So now I guess I have to rethink the stages in which I am going to upgrade this 'toy'. My wife is going to kill me.

They do have these servo strecthers/programers that might help out but ive never used one.
Better to do it that way than burn up a 150 to 200 dollar servo!!

My wife just rolls her eyes at me when i start talking rc. ( Or big nerd language as she calls it)
