Looks nice but whats the price on that? It got crazy amounts of torque but its gotta be expensive. Im running this servo on a 6-cell nimh pack and its holding up great. Fast, super strong and it was reasonably priced compard to all the other high voltage servos out there. http://www.servocity.com/html/hsr-5980sg_servo.html

got my servo. Hitec HSR-5980SG robot servo.
-Operating Voltage: 6.0 to 7.4V
-Max Speed: 0.17sec/60* @ 6.0V
0.14sec/60* @ 7.4V
-Stall Torque: 333.29oz.in @ 6.0V
416.61oz.in @ 7.4V
I think it might have enough power. lol!

it was only like 80.00 or 90.00 bucks plenty strong enough for crawlin

I contacted MKS for a couple of those for my super and the price was 62$ plus shipping (8$ normal airmail to Greece) Iplan to order a couple and a tiny 3s LRP lipo to solve my problems.

Hey you too man! Great minds think alike!

And $70 sipped for that?! Nice price. Looks to be a good quality servo but time will tell I guess. Id like to hear updates on this. If it works out I might have to pick one up!

Not sure why we don't see more of these around. I payed $77 shipped, but I only ordered one. The more you order the less you pay. To order you email them and they give you a paypal. Don't worry if it takes a while to respond, they do eventually. Also their emails are fairly confusing. Not bad price considering that is 533 oz/inch with alloy case and titanium gears Half the price of my futaba. I don't think it is programmable like the hitec, but that is pointless in my opinion as I only use 2 things to set up a servo, trim and epa both of which are on the radio.

Sorry to bring back an old thread.

Because their dealer in America sells them for a much higher price:

Big deal, just order from MKS direct. Suppose it is a bit of rigmarole. I wish they would hurry up and claim my payment:?

I've asked, they wont allow that to be done for a customer in the US. And yes, it is a big deal...

Just emailed them about purchasing one. I live in the US, hopefully they will sell me one. With that thing I could ditch the CCBec, and direct power the servo off a 3s Lipo for 500+oz of torque. Might need to find someone that makes titanium servo horns for them

I contacted them about this servo also a couple of weeks ago. At least we would be able to purchas them from a US dealer. But I think the cost is higher because of the customs and shipping already figured in. It is still less than the Hitec and I think the JR. I will be ordering a couple of them for my super when I get funds together.

I've been emailing back and forth with MKS the last week trying to get him to sell me three of these and they won't do it. He keeps referring to the U.S dealers but they want double the price everyone else is paying on here that is outside the US.

Same saga here. For the cost, I'll buy an American product that has customer service agents that speak the same language as I....

Maybe we can get a vendor here to become a dealer? If the demand is high enough for them. Id be in for at least 2, possibly as many as 6 if they prove to be reliable enough.

With as much hassle as their customer service has already been, I'd hate to have to contact them for service after they have my money....
