An airplane radio...interesting...did you get it switched to surface frequency? If not, it shouldn't be a big problem. I'm running one on my bruiser and haven't had any issues. Just don't drive anywhere near an R/C plane. The only problem I've had with airplane radios is that the throttle stick ddoesn't return to neutral. Fully proportional 4ws is fun though. Destroyer |

I didn't like the way I would of had to set the stick radio, so I traded in for this straight up. both radios were without servos. This radio is going to work great, I would of liked a 4+ channel but I have used a pistle grip forever. I likethe rx, fully synthesized, that will be nice when I start travelling. |

I have moved my throttle to the right stick (normally used for the elevator) that does return to center and doesn`t have the detents, and I like it much better now. | |

I've been running that 4-ch stick transmitter for over a year now, on ground frequency of course. I haven't had any trouble with it. I have my throttle set on the left/right travel of the left stick, so it always returns to the brake whenever I take my finger off the throttle. I have the front steering on the left/right travel of the right stick; and the rear steering set on the up/down travel of the right stick. Both axles return to center (straight) when I let go of the right stick. The steering takes some getting used to, that's for sure. However, I've been doing it this way for so long that I can't drive any other way now! Vince |
