Default Rooster Crawler programming issue

I'm trying to finish setting up my Venom Creeper and have a Rooster Crawler ESC & a 2cell Lipo. Also running Hitexch 3channel Radio & receiver.

When I go thru the program set-up and steering starts glitching the whole time, like somethings interferring. After I go thru the steps. I get no throttle or sterring response and is starts stuttering steering & driving on it's own.

Help please

Batts,I think he meant the ones in the radio.Antennas up,and tight? Did you set all of the radio settings to what Novak suggests? Trims,to neutral?

unplug the battery and try it again. i have had my goat almost a year and it's acted up like that (minus the steering going crazy) 3 times now.

i had this issue with my MRC, i later found out the esc needs to get the signal from the remote, so turn on the remote first and wait 10-20 seconds and it will get a response, then hold up ur venmon and turn it on so it doesnt fly off, if it still does it, then ur reciever or esc is messed up, most likely the reciever, but my blade cx2 needs like 1 min before i can turn on the remote or it wont run, then it runs after like 1 min of wait

Tried the info you guys gave last night and nope, still no response.
It seems like it takes forever to go solid green and even longer to blinking green when applying full brakes.

After going thru the set-up procedure 3 more times this morning it's still not responding when done.

I'm starting to wonder if Novaks picture & wording for the motor wiring is off. On the 55 motor it states Yellow to (+) and blue to (-), but in the pics they show blue soldered to the (+) of motor. Not sure if this matters are not.

You may need to email tech@teamnovak.com with your question. Before emailing, take a moment to review the instructions originally included with your Novak Item:

Hate to suggest something trivial, but is the servo wire from the Rx to the ESC, on the ESC backwards?
I have done that before when re-wiring a rig and had simular probs.

Is nice that cable isn't potted, but kind of a pain also since it can get reversed and sticks out the top like a sore thumb.

FINALLY.. it's alive.... *evil laugh*

This thing crawls sweet, I can't wait to test it out tomorrow at the crawl spot in Ashtabula.

After messing with it at the HS by work for 2hrs and trying many routes, with crystals, different receivers, batteries, etc. it turned out that the Radio & Receiver where the issue the entire time. I bought a Hitech Aggressor 3Ch FM from RC planet and it looks like that will be getting shipped back tomorrow.

I ended up trying & buy a Hitech Lynx 2CH and works perfectly, now.

Thanks for all the input with trying to help out, greatly appreciated.
