I bet this esc wont be out in 2010. Personally I don't understand why they even anounced a product that wasn't near to be ready. I would have kept it in the drawer untill I was sure I could release it and not have many users angry to the lack of seriousness of the brand.

I thought about it until they kept pushing the date back. After it does come out if it seems to do well with minimal problems I will more than likely try one out. Until then it's a single FXR with Punk dig for me.

The M2Dig will be shipping by the end of this month. We delayed this product release until we had completed the NovaLink software and released our new Kinetics. In addition, we decided to release the M2Dig after the release of the Axial dual motor kit. We wanted to do our final testing in this new crawler.

We also updated the press release to include the new features:

Novak's M2 Dig 3S Dual Brush ESC is Coming Soon!

I can understand. I also understand the business decision to focus on the racing products (some of which I now have and use happily).

However, I'm now heavily concerned with Novak's commitment to this product and their commitment to the crawling sector of the hobby. I find it disturbing that they simply decided to redirect their resources knowing that as a result they'd be leaving the whole crawling world hanging. I understand that the crawling world is a small part of their business, but many of us who crawl also race. These sorts of decisions way heavily on someone like my self. I work hard for my rc funds, I like to spend it wisely, and having a lingering doubt of a companies commitment to a product is a major factor in gaining my business.

I hope Novak gets this moving. They've created doubts in my mind about their ability to follow through with a promise when it pertains to the lesser numbered crowd. When they do release this product it had better be right. I most certainly won't be buying it with the first group of folks. I'll need some convincing via reading reviews. If it's all good then I'm on board. But I want Novak to know that they're on thin ice with me.
I once posted on this forum regularly---even offered some new Novak products for several Giveaways. But members here told me, in both PMs and on threads, that my participation wasn't welcome because I could not (personally) answer technical questions and referred them to our Tech Support department.

The 3s esc and dual 45t rebuildables would probably be a better combo seller than two closed endbell 55t's

Thats crazy,

I'm sorry that was your experience on the site, I think for the most part people are nice on the site.

I've been looking forward to this product for awhile, I'm all about clean rigs and this would make wiring a breeze.

Most experienced crawler guys probably have a lot of motors---initially, we wanted to offer an affordable combo for those just getting into crawling. We may offer a combo w/ (more costly) 45T motors later; we will also respond to customer requests.

The dual M2Dig controller is the unique item and will probably outsell the combos.

We were discussing the ease of installation of this controller at lunch today; replaces 2 escs, a dig unit and an external BEC module. This M2Dig has a 5 amp BEC. We also spent some time discussing some of the under-powered (wimpy) BECs used by some other mfgs---even in their high-end racing controllers.
