If it is gonna need an external BEC them they might as well hold it off another month and make it right. At this point, why not????????????

If the internal BEC isn't good enough, I'd rather not have one at all and save a few bucks.

It is just this unit is marketed to streamline the whole mess of electronics, but now it requires a BEC to be added? That is a real let down for me. I want to mount a reciever, and an ESC, and be done.Mainly because I thought of making the connections all on quick connect plugs in case a quick change out is needed.

What's wrong with an external BEC with quick connect plugs? I'll make a bold statement here, there will NEVER be an internal BEC that is sufficient enough to run a high end servo (7950, 9157, etc...) at 2s Lipo voltages. The amount of power you need requires a very beefy BEC and packaging it within an ESC case isn't very practical.

Right here you go an out of the box shot.

I will accept a full apology in the form of a cheque for 1000 pounds made payable to IAMREALLYSORRY

Man, you gotta love the interent. I have a couple pictures of it installed.

So far, I've worked with 6 trucks, 5 of them I have touched and seen with my very own eyes. With the external BEC, everything works fine. Biasing feature is functioning, and the dig and drag brakes are reported to be "phenomenal" by the testers.

I don't have any "on the rocks" videos yet, but hope to soon enough. The test team went out Sunday, but alas, did not bring a camera.... shame on you boys! Kidding of course.

Also, it's been stated for a while now, that this unit was going to "need" a BEC on the outside. At least I think it was....

I'm gonna go take a cell phone video of it on the bench for ya'll.

Super quick and super basic Video.

Bottom button used for F/R lock/Dig.

Upper button used for Biasing.

This is setup with a Futaba 3PMX, trim step set to 20 for one click Biasing.

DX3R/E video next.

DX3R. Should see the biasing feature, and the dig feature. In the end, this radio can be setup with a 3rd button to "just" rear dig. The F button can be rear/front only, with anything else for F/R and Biasing.

These videos are "Aweful" quality and I'm doing them all one handed while operating the truck. Not idea, but I feel so terrible for not posting anything over the weekend. The test team will be out again this week and I've requested Videos be taken just for ya'll.
