Angry esc jumping

I have a venom creeper with a axial 55-turn, traxxas xl-1 esc traxxas 3 channel reciver and if I try to drive it at about 15-20% trottle the esc bounces between forward and reverse. Is this the reciver or esc? I was eventually planing on put a rooster crawler or fxr in it, should I just do that and not worry this crappy esc?

its knowen as "glitching" try moving your esc away from your receiver and make sure your rx antenna isnt touching any metal and if possible fully extended

and , in the future i would recoment the FXR, it has alot more adjusability then the rooster crawler and is a fair bit smaller, how ever the rooster is a great esc aswell just not adjustible

But, the fxr has no internal noise filter, so the glitching will get alot worst, until you go to 2.4ghz.
