Is the Novak HV 3A BEC enough for one Hitec Servo?

I got Novak 3S crawler ESC last few days, and it comed with a 3A High Volt BEC. Is this BEC enough for just one max torque servo like Hitec 7955? I know the CC BEC is great, but if I replace the Novak BEC with CC 10A BEC, will the servo(7955 or 8711) act differently? Or they are just the same under one servo only situation?

It would run the servo. But... is the 3 Amps enough? The answer to that is NO. I would run the Castle BEC.

I assume that by "act differently" you mean: Will the Center and EPAs remain the same? Well they should remain the same. You'll notice the increase in torque, and maybe an increase in the speed of the servo. If anything goes off, it would be only the center, the EPAs should be the same distance relative to the center.

according to hitec's spec sheet, the 7955 will draw up to 4200ma, or 4.2 amps at full load. thats a lot of current, to get max performance out of your servo its best to run a bec. the difference you will notice is that the servo is faster and will have more torque, but thats if your using the servo to its max potential. if the servo isnt straining, a bec isnt going to show much difference
