I just make sure I use quality zip-ties and cut them off flush w/ diagonal cutters. The twist method only works on big, high quality ties. Cheapeys like you get in the bulk packs have to be cut off, and half the time they let go anyway...

C'mon Guys less of the talk about blood and stuff, if the Health & Safety people over this side of the pond hear about it, they will have us all wearing industrial gloves, eye protection , hard hats, coveralls and steel toe work boots every time we work on our rigs |

been using a butane torch since the first time i got scratched by a sharp cut. faster, better control of the flame, and you dont get the nasty carbon build up also works great w/ heat shrink, no need to pull out the heat gun. just make sure to keep the flame moving unless you want to burn a hole in the shrink you're working w/ |

| Here is you answer guys http://www.thunderboltrc.com/index.p...fvkqv7tk9mba74 They come in several colors and they do work awesome! I haven't had any come loose yet and stick to anything really! It comes with enough to do several rigs. The ones that are 3 and 4 wire holders I just cut down to singles with a razor. The best part is I don't have to keep cutting zip-ties when I want to take something out. I just pull the wires and your good to go! |

I'm looking for a shark suit to protect me from razor knives. I was an auto tech for a while and still wrench on my own stuff. Zip ties will slice ya up. I used to have a nice Snap On zip tie gun, with adjustable tension. One pull and it would tighten the ties and cut them flush. It was a little bulky for RC, nice for cars. Then it was stolen and I have never replaced it, not cheap either.

| They are! But they just make since you know? It's one of those "Why didn't I think of that" kind of do-dads! I found them hidden at the LHS a while back and bought like 7 packs! I've been redoing all my RC's with them. It really cleans the wiring up!
