Default castle link question..

i will be running a tekin fx-r w/35t motor,and using a hi tek 645 servo. and a castle creations bec,now the question is - will i need to get a castle link to program the bec or will the stock settings work?? i will definitly be running lipos...i have read and read and just need to get it straight...:?

if you want it to put out 6v you will need a castle link but if 5.1v is ok with you you dont need a cc link

the BEC is set to 5.1v output from Castle.
If you want your servo to get more than 5.1v then yes, you'll need the castlelink to reprogram the output voltage.

I just bought it last week and changed all mine to 6v output. except for the berg with my new Hitec 7950TH, set that bec to 7.0v

Can always order the CC BEC from a vendor like Holmes Hobbies and have them program it for the voltage you desire....having the castle link is very handy if you have a couple of Castle's products however...

Yeah, I would hate to spend the extra money on a castlelink if all you have is the bec. The link cost as much as the bec itself. Like weck said, you can order it pre-programmed for desired voltage or you can stick with the 5v
