I have a Electric Rustler with the xl-5 ESC (non waterproof) today i went out and purchased a new 7 Cell Venom 4200 8.4 volt for the rustler. when i got home i fully charged the battery, when i went to plug it into the ESC the ESC imediatley started to smoke prefusley!!!! with crackling sounds!!!. i never even got to turn the ESC on? the ESC is now fried!.. ![]() Any ideas on how and why it did this? the truck was 100% dry and it was the first run of the day...i have run my buddies 7 cell traxxas 3000 in the rustler and it ran fine?>!?!?! |

Was the polarity correct? At least you can send it in to Traxxas fairly easily.
