| planning my build, few electronics questions
Hi guys, while i'm impatiantly waiting for all my new toys to arrive (building a new bully) i'm starting to work out how i'll do the wiring. this is my first MOA, after running a basic AX10 for a while. I'm planning on the following BR-XL 3s Lipo Hitec 7950th (overkill i know, but got a great price on one) Punk Dig Warrior 45Ts 1. Will i need an external BEC right away, or can I run the 7950th at 6v from the BR-XL to begin with. 2. If i do get an external (probably CC) BEC how best to wire it in, connect to deans plug on ESC side? or somewhere i saw a male and female deans soldered back to back with the BEC in between. 3. Whats the best way to get power to the servo, would it be best to take a short servo extension lead, pop the + and - wires and connect the BEC output wires, and just have the singal wire connected to the RX? 4. just out of interest, what kind of amp draw would two 45T motors have (i.e. what C rating lipo do i REALLY need?) is there a way to measure this in use? 5. is it essential to set the overload protection on the 7950th? 6. any tips for motor wiring? i.e. i often see people with a lot of slack wire on the motor side (more than would be needed just for articulation) is there a reason for this? i think thats it for now, any comments appreciated. with that esc you dont need a bec for a lipo look for 30c or more to be safe no u dont need to set the overload protection just give as much slack as needed |

if u were to get a bec just hook the + and - to the deans with the esc and plug the output into the reciever unless you are going to set it to over 6v (7.4v) for the servo in that case the easiest way is to get a y-harness and plug the bec and servo into it and remove the red wire on the end that goes to the reciever
