Default All in One Charger?

I need some assistance/advice. I run several different RC cars and trucks requiring different batteries. What is a great all around charger that can do Lipo's also. Not really worried about the cost as it is a long term investment and I want a quality product. Also for the different plug types; deans, Losi MRC, etc, etc do I need to fab up my own conversion or do they sell some already made. Thanks.

Look at the Hyperions. Most of them do a whole bunch of batteries and are updatable.

Racers Edge has a product called a Squid charging lead. It has tamiya, deans, traxxas, glow ignitor, two different receiver pack plugs and a spare set of wires for whatever it is that you want to put on it. I don't see it being to hard to add to it either.

I have a Triton EQ and it will charge every battery. This is the best charger I have ever owned, easy to use and kinda dumb proof it walks you through the steps to select battery and mahs. I think they sell for around $120 can't remember for sure. You can go to electrifly.com to check out the specs.

Can't beat a FMA, super accurate, great customer support, and made in the USA.

I've been using their 10s for years for my heli batteries and I have a 4s multi for my crawlers and trucks when I travel.

As for the plugs, you'll need to make adapters. Some can be found on Tower (I just got a deans to micro deans from there for a few bucks).

From the research I am doing the Hyperion EOS606i sounds really good combined with the Racers Edge Squid harness I might be able to charge anything. Any detractors to this set up?

I am. The above linked EOS0606i and would recommend it to anyone. I like the charger so much I picked up a Hyperion brushless motor for my crawler.

Does anybody run the next charger up, the Duo?

Personally, I don't have a need for the Duo. I have five battery packs and I just make sure they're all charged the day before a comp. Granted, the Duo could cut the charge time in half, but it's also more than twice the price of the 0606i.

Instead of the duo, just get another 606. Less $, more flexible.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines. The DUO is just more than most of us need, especially me.

The 606i is a great charger. But to update it you need to send it in. Some of their other chargers have USB capability so you can update it when they release them.

That being said, the 606i should still be more than you need.

the downside of the duo that i see is you would still need to buy a power supply to run it and from what i read the 2 batteries have to be the same ? but i do own 2 of the 606i models and they are great

I got a couple of charger and the one I use most is my the Muliplex LN6015 ECU. It can charge and discharge virtually all battery types currently used in modelling (i.e. LiPo, LiFe, LiIo, NiMH, NiCd and lead-acid (Pb) packs), and at the same time is capable of equalizing individual cell voltages (LiPo, LiFe and LiIo batteries only).

Please note that connectors are for Flight Power/Thunder Power and can balance only up to 5S Lipo.

Here's a link as reference to all it's features.

I use the Racer's Edge charger and squid tail. Great all in one charger plus it comes with a nice hard case to carry it all in, or at least mine did. You might have to look around for the case.
