Default External bec

Another electro question, I have had a few tell me I should add an external BEC, probably a cc. Will it come with instructions/diagram on how to wire this thing up and if so is it the best way? Will I have to reprogram my sidewinder esc? Kinda hope not it was a pain to program when I upgraded my radio system to the spektrum DX 3.0.

It comes with a nice picture diagram and instructions. you should not need to reprogram your sidewinder.

The way I did it on my rig is to not hook the power wires up at the battery connection. I hooked the power wires from the bec directly to the posts on the esc. I think it gives it a better look than having 2 extra wires running to the battery connector. That's just my opinion though.

I usually go off the plug that goes into the battery, but I did it this way on my scaler and works great.

You can go by the instructions or you can run the output power wires straight to your servo and run the servo signal wire to the receiver.
