Default does anyone make a servo with less throw?

I have a hitec 645 working the disconnect on my R2 trans and it has to much throw and puts the disconnect shaft in a bind and it don't want to go back in gear all the way. I have tried using different lenght servo arms with no luck. I have a shorter arm on right now and it seemed to help a little. I need a servo with very little throw if anyone makes one. When I go to disconnect the trans the linkage pushes downward on the disconnect shaft and puts in a serious bind. It should move in and out smoothly and straight in and out ,but instead it puts pressure on the disconnect shaft and pushes it downward. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get a radio where you can adjust the endpoints.

I am running a TQ3 and it has the adjustment on the back of the radio for the 3rd channel, but how will that help? Isn't that just a trim adjustment for the 3rd channel? Is that the same as endpoint adjustments?

Endpoints are digital. Trim is just adjusting the frequency, which what the TQ3's adjustments are.

read the tq3 mod thread. You can install some adjustment pots to limit the travel.

Or buy a Hitec programmable digital servo and using one of their servo programmers, reconfigure the endpoints to achieve reduced throw.

You might be able to get your LHS to do the programming for you no charge.

another simple option is to use a shorter servo arm.

That was the first thing I tried and it did help a little, but it didn't solve my problem. I ended up using a round servo arm which was the shortest available.

instead of a solid link, use some shift linkage from a nitro as the connecting arm. The springs will let the arm go farther than needed.
Here's my old dig setup, when I didn't have EPA's just a 645, shift linkage, and some collars. Home fabbed since this was before everyone could buy one.

You can use pen springs if needed to adjust tension. I used this dig for a whole season with no probs at all. The springs also let everything line up before tension is fully applied.
