| motor polarity
Almost all brushed motors I have seen have a polarity mark ( + or - ) on the can or end bell. ESC's usually designate the polarity of there motor wires. When you cross these (+ to - ) to get the desired direction of rotation have any effect on the performance of the motor or esc?

Not to the ESC. ESC just puts out power to those two wires no matter how they are hooked up. If the motor has zero timing then it doesn't matter to the motor. If the motor has non-adjustable timing then you may have issues. As far as determining timing, that will vary greatly by motor type. |
