Warning stupid question!!!!
 

can i make my new slash 4x4 a crawler / basher. I know its 4 wheel drive but if i locked the axles to crawl better would this hurt it when i drive fast? I think its a dumb question and someones gonna say "YOU IDIOT thats not made for crawling" but i was just wondering.

You dould do it if you really wanted to but it will not work at all. Not enough ground clearance, suspension travel, etc.

I'd love to see the build and some video of it on the rocks if you do it though. It would be interesting.

Ya can get spools (revo) for the diffs but the brushless setup is crazy fast with no bottom end control (more like a toggle switch). I guess ya could get adapters for 40 series wheels/tires to get it off the ground but I'm not sure the drive train will handle it. Also there is no way to gear it down for crawling and it would suck when ya want to go fast. I have seen some slash 4x4 monster trucks but why not just get a revo for that?

a few people have made them into monster trucks... so yes to bashing... but highly doubt there would be anything you can do to make it articulate enough to crawl with...
