I have heard good results with these full metal geared servos and they are cheap with free shipping,I know if you look the company up they make other servos as well at good prices http://www.enjoyhobbies.biz/servo/cy...tal-gear-servo

And here is the actual company that makes them along with other servos

I have one of those on my ax 10 and they are pretty good for the price but don't compare to these
On that note anyone tried the mks gears in the hv767?

Would like to know this as well. Looking at getting a new servo and this is my top choice right now.

I use the HV767 from turnigy, no issues here, i ahve run it 4-5 times, started at 5v, it was too low, bumped it to 6, it was alright, then bumped it again to 7, and the thing is a beast.... not stripped gears yet, and i've been in some good binds.

ive had my 7.4v on my berg running it at 6v..
no problems, love it,rarely gets hot..still has plenty of trq.

LOWBOY v3 BERG BUILT.

run it to the lowside of max input voltage, you'll save your gears, and motor.
kinda like running 454 bigblock thru a dana 30..it may run..
but not for long!

Default Turnigy hv-767

Got this ems shipped, received it within 5 days.I had to space it out a little but otherwise it fits just fine. The Torque is awesome!!. I snapped two rod ends from having too short of a servo arm. But it works well ,ran it for about 45 mins. It didn't even get warm. Before i was running a savox that would burn your fingerprint to the case... Big improvement

So is anyone actually running MKS? Is it better?

I found a MKS HV-767 for $90 in a discount bin at my LHS

Wondering if its worth it

One thing to consider, what is the torque rating at what volts input. A low torque rating usually means less current (amp) draw.
Also the rig, a small 1.9 does not put a lot of load on a servo, a heavy 2.2 or super can really work a servo.
Some servos can run direct from the battery pack, thus no need for a BEC to keep voltages & amps in check.
There are several things you need to look at when deciding on whether or not to run a BEC.

Hello
I am using the MKS HV 300. Direkt at 3S 1000mAh 35C Lipo. No BEC.
Works fine since 15 carge-cycles and real hard Job on my rock.
