It's normal. It's because of the ROAR rules for Sportsman classes. The ESCs with the ability to have dynamic timing advances had to have a profile where this function was disabled and a way to clearly show this status. For the MMP that is "Must use zero timing and zero Advanced Profile signified by blinking LED"

I had the same prob when i fist hooked mine up couldnt even calibrate it, turns out i had a bad lipo, i also checked on cc's website according to their faq section this could mean three things
1. Yellow blinking while not calibrating and no throttle input: Poss prob with controller
2. Applying throttle or reverse while not calibrating:poss prob with controller
3.applying throttle or reverse while calibrating: The controler is not seeing a valid nuetral signal, make sure subtrim is set to zero, expo is set to zero, and mixes are off

btw, whil its blinking do you still have control of the vehicle?
Hope this helps

Thanks for the responces

1- NO its not normal i have the same ESC on my axial and the yellow light doesn't blink

2- Yes i have FULL control over the rig

3- i have recalibrated it about 7 times so far today

4- i'm using a DX3R with my rig and testing her LCC with it and my receiver

5- i have 2 new maxamps lipo's, a thunder power lipo, and a Gforce lipo. all of which have been hooked up and still the same problem

6- when you go forward the Green light blinks, when in reverse the red light blinks, BUT when your in neutral the Yellow light is supposed to be SOLID not blinking

any and ALL help is appreciated!

Have you tried using a clean unused memory location on your DX3R? Start Fresh! Bind the RX, Calibrate the ESC and see what happens.

or

Check you Throttle Subtrim to make sure its set to '0' aswell as your throttle trim is set to '0'. Check these settings on the MONITOR screen not the main screen.

Or

Do a Parameters Reset and make sure you save the settings after doing so.

And

Go into the setting on the Castle Link and set the Dead Band to the highest setting if the above doesnt fix it.

See if any of these things fix the problem.

YES it is normal. It depends on which version of the firmware you are running.

Look at the chart on this page.

Check out what it says for the latest version.

- - - - - -

1.26 Final 05/13/10

Mamba Max Pro / Mamba Max Pro One Cell ONLY:

* Added support for ROAR spec class racing. Neutral LED flashes when controller is NOT running in CHEAT mode.

- - - - - -

If you want to get rid of the blinking, you can try to load the 1.25 firmware version which doesn't have this feature added.

they just added that a few days ago,i'm still running 1:25 so it still shouldn't matter! i'm running the same software version in both crawlers, so if the neutral light doesnt flash on one it shouldnt flash on the other

i'll give all of the above options a try Thanks
