Default LIPO voltage drop question

I have a Max Amps 7.4v LIPO its 1800mah and has had about 10 runs on it. It has never droped below 6.3 to 6.5 volts ( I always usea low voltage cutoff ESC) and has been stored with a 50% (around 7.3v) charge. I always ballance charge my batteries and the pack has never seen water, been droped, or banged up.

That being said I charged it today and it would only take 8.39v now I know .1 volt is not a lot and is probably nothing t owrite about but..... I was wondering why? All my other batteries some older some newer take a full charge so what gives?

A battery will "take" whatever top voltage it happens to go up to. If we charge a cell the voltage has no choice but to go up. Voltage monitored by the charger is the cause of an ending voltage of 8.39 Almost all chargers use the cv routine at the end of charge making it impossible to overcharge. Some older cells will "hang" around the full mark, but as stated in first sentense, if the battery is charged the voltage must go up.
