[WTA] About ESC Hello. I want to ask about ESC. ESC come in various current, they ranged from 10A to 60A. (What available here.) My question is, when we would like to choose lower or higher current? Thank you in advance. :) |
The smaller current would be cheaper and usually for a small motor in an airplane or maybe a small scale car. The larger current capacity is always better in a car. For example, Tekin B1-R is a 30 amp ESC. You can only use high turn motors and low voltage. The Tekin FX-R can handle more current and can handle lower turn motors and higher voltage. |

Lower current limit = lower voltage & high turn Higher current limit = higher voltage & low turn motors Turn = rpm? low turn motor = more torque & more power & suitable for crawler? Thank you very much... :) |
low turn motors = higher speed, less torque high turn motors= slower speed , more torque turn= the physical amount of wire wrapped around the armature of the motor.. the more wire the stronger the magnetic field,,but the slower the rpm output.. |
