How exactly is it stalling?? Stall is not a bad thing, it mostly works in your favor.

I normally like my rear to stall a little on a climb. Gear mesh will have a big impact on how much stall you get. Try loosening the rear gear mesh a little if t iis pretty tight. normally I run a tighter gear mesh in the rear to add more stall.

If its not the gear mesh it could be the motors. What motors are you running? How is the stall on level ground? How much throttle do you need to give it on a climb to get the rear to turn?

Make sure ya calibrate the escs at the same time and they have the same settings. Play with gear mesh and ya can try moving the motors front to rear? Stall will always be there but ya should be able to get it controlled with some tuning. Of course going to sticks/4pk will solve your problems too.

could try a 13/12 pinion. may help a little

What is your throttle setting on the FXR?

Dual ESC's really only helps much when you are running a controller that is capable of controlling them seperately. Going to a better radio would be my first suggestion. Sounds like you have a extremely nice setup but cheaped out big on the radio.

The new Futaba 4PL should be out in September or October and should be a great price point. The 4PK is the radio to have right now though. Just my oppinion of course...

I'm here in sacramento thanks barry for the advice. I know but that's the controler I had. I started with a 14 tooth front and rear. Now I have 14 front 13 rear. It stalls bad enough were on a climb I realy have to give it some juice to get it going. Gonna take the speed controllers out and re program. It sucks cuz the car works awsome but slow speed climbs no good. Thanks for all the help. DRAGBOATS.com

go with a 12/11t combo, with a 3cell lipo. Holmes famous words, gear down and volt up. This keeps wheelspeed, and uses less energy to turn the motors, helping with the stall

I ran my bully this way for a while with 35t HH tm motors.

Learn to drive it with stall and you'll figure out how to climb without digging.

Stall can be your best friend. I learned to love it.

when your slow crawling up a hill, just give it slightly more throttle and the rear will start to move, you shouldn't need to juice it. Learn where that fine point is on the trigger and work it to your advantage.

BTW from my experience running both the fxr and the Mamba max, the MM gives a lot better throttle control.

will a 14 tooth 12 tooth work or help

Failedabortion 07-29-2010 08:05 PM

Put the 13 up front and a 12 in the rear.

Which moa and how many cells are you running?

To wide a spread. Like I said, 12/11 front and rear respectivly.

Tightening the gear mesh is a poor bandage. You'll only wear out parts quicker.
