Default Motor options?

So im looking to upgrade my stock 55t axial motor, i would like to go brushless but the price tag for one doesnt fall in my bugget right now, so Im looking to pick up another 55t motor, itegy makes a couple different 55t motors like the Hi Power Pro Crawler Motor or the V10 Matrix Rock Crawler Pro Motor, theres also the tekin crawler motor and the novak crawler motor.. but i heard to stay away from novak. any suggustions. my set up is a CC sidewinder, BEC, stock Axial reciever and radio. im looking for something that will hold dragbrake good, as the brushes in my stock motor are worn out and doesnt hold to great anymore

Get a handwound from JRH, you can go with a lower wind for more wheels speed and still have plenty of torque.

could the brushes in my motor just be worn out be the cause of my dragbrake slipping?

X2...I just got the 25T handwound pro from JRH, talk about night and day difference between it and the stock losi NC motor. My motor is paired with a mamba max pro esc, the throttle is sooo smooth & has alot of power when the throttle is hammered down on

The shorter your brushes get, the less tension the spring puts on them....which makes it easier for the motor to roll......

Instead of asking EddieO questions, just step up to the plate and purchase one of HIGH QUALITY motors. I just put two 35T R/T's in my berg and they smooth and powerful.

Just bought 3 new team brood motors. The quality is superb. To the point that he advances the timing for the moa. I am yet to run them as i am waiting on my radio to be sent back from futaba. Few pics for you.
