Read all through this try to determine the best water proofing method for my Goat 3s ESC and brushless sensored motor. The steering servo seems pretty straight forward. I am leaning towards the Sillicone Conformal Coating. Also I read a lot about using Corrosion X, but has anybody ever used (or heard of using) another product from Corrosion Technologies called Max Wax? It's supposed to be good for up to 392° F. Would it be possible to CX over silicon conformal coating?

| Re: Water Proofing Electronics I don't see why not. CorrosionX is a thin liquid so it won't add any bulk. It will hit anything that the conformal coating missed but maybe you need to buy more conformal coating and touch up areas. I use CorrosionX but want to switch to conformal coatings. I guess they say nothing is truly 100% waterproof! |

| Re: Water Proofing Electronics
I personally use a clear 5 minute 2 part epoxy. I've done a few videos on it with different parts, but I do my ESC, reciever, and servo with it. I also do all of the electronic boards for my lights and anything else that needs it. When you look at any servos or ESC that are waterproofed they are coated in a clear type coating like epoxy. So why not do it with all of them and get what I want. So that's what I do. I have rigs that I've ballooned and plasti dipped, but I've been changing it all out slowly with 2 part epoxy. Works really well so far and I've had no problems with over heating either. Just what I like to do. Maybe it will help some of you out. I've said this and I know others have to, but when you mix water and electronics together sometimes bad stuff happens. Sucks, but can't stop it all. That's part of this awesome hobby I guess. ;) |

I water proofed my electronics with 2 layers or mg chemicals silicon conformal. Im hoping the cx will provide a better moisture barrier | |

Gents, So if I am just doing snow bashing and crawling and running through wet leaves, do I need more water resistance than is offered by my stock Wraith? Thank you.

Is there a easy to use 100% waterproof esc without having to make it watertight?

So what about the sensor plugs for my brushless set up? Do I pack them with dielectric grease then seal with conformal coating after I've plugged in the sensor cable or leave it alone?
