Okay, I'm sorry to all. I should have directed my bud to the seach bar, instead of telling him togo brood. I wasent trying to bash John at all. I was trying to help a friend that was try to get questions answered and got a bad taste in his mouth when he didnt get an e-mail back. I told him that John is busy. He just cant wait long, when he has the money he wants to unload it.

No worries, I don't blame him or you. Sometimes you need to buy now, and you need an answer now. Water under the bridge as far as I am concerned, but it is certainly info that can sway a purchase decision.

You will see for yourself that John's service & products are top notch if you decide to give him a chance in the future Even though your buddy didn't decide to go with Holmes he still made a good choice going with the Brood's, from what I have read atleast...... | |

I don't know how often people buy a motor/pair of motors, but I can't really see how black and white recommendations like "Holmes all the way" or "I've never used anything but Brood" could be considered anything but ridiculous with all the options, ever changing methods, and variations in models, terrain, and personal taste. From what I can tell its like Vanquish, BWD, or some of the other specialists, If your lucky enough to find something that you think will suit your needs and you have a couple hundred balloons in your pocket than that is the one you go with. "Out Of Stock" mean anything to you guys? I'm putting some lists together for an AX10 and XR10 and finding stuff in less than 3 or 4 places is giving me brain damage. You got stand up brushes with medium hard purple springs or maybe you got lay down communicators with 17 pole magnets and fushia end bells,,... Bring it on!!! GD |

Motors simply are not as black and white as a chassis or other parts. They have a host of options you can choose to suit your needs. Both sites do an excellent job explaining the options, just takes a few minutes of reading. As for the out of stock, I know john sells a lot of product, so his stuff goes as quickly as he puts it up. I sell my fair share also, so sometimes stuff is hard to keep in. My ecommerce software also has a quirk about creating configurations that don't exist and I can't really do anything about it other than mark it out of stock........each arm type however shows its available comm sizes and such by hovering over them...kinda shows you what does and doesn't exist. For future reference, if you just click order, that will send you the standard 35t that about 75% of all customers buy. You always have the option to of sending one of us a message, and we can point you in the correct direction. Later EddieO |

I have both brand motors. In "general", both WILL serve you well. I have my preferences, but they are both great vendors, they will also walk you through a recommended motor if you provide enough info. |

LOL, I figured the out of stock thing on your site and maybe Johns was a website problem. How could it be out of stock if its not build? I was just givin you guys a hard time. I'm punch drunk from looking at carts. Maybe I need to buy an Evader, put an 8 turn 550 in it and ramp it into a cement wall and send all the plastic parts to Duratrax!!! The way product variants work, it basically creates armature configurations that don't exist....like a 10mm comm Type GT....was never made, can never be made really...but the software creates it because Type GT is a variant, as is 10mm comm....I tried doing it as exceptions in the software, all it does is change the OUT OF STOCK to NOT AVAILABLE.....and then you get lots of weird errors. I made it work the best I could, hence why I put the available configs in the popups. Later EddieO |
