Default 2 position and 3 position switches??

So I had a JR XR3 and I believe it had the three position switch. Push it forward and would engage my rear dig, let go it would go back to neutral, pull it backward and it would do my front dig. So with that In mind what radio's do the same type of thing. I really don't wan to have to click a switch 3 times to get the dig to work and then click it again to get it to set neutral. You get the drift. Im trying to keep my budget between 100 to 160ish, can anyone tell me what radio's will work the way I'm describing my JR did and if say a Spektrum DX3.0 would work for me. and also if a 2 position is like an on and off switch for just rear dig?? The rig is a losi moa and has punk dig, sidewinder, epic motors, and on and on. Thanks guys.

If you let the switch go, it goes back into 4wd? Wouldn't you need 3 hands to steer, throttle and keep the dig engaged?

Not when the switch is right at your thumb. And yeah i Know all those radios are great but then you switch them they stay in either dig or 4wd. and KO Propo has to be hit like 8 times to make it work in either direction. I just want to be able to hit the switch forward or backward hold it there to dig, and then let go and have it go back to 4wd. So i guess my question is a bit more specific than "which one will let me dig". Oh and the 2 & 3 position thing I figured out.

Im not sure if any radio works like that, I know that my dx3r doesnt...

You could surely modify something like a dx3 (not 3.0) to use a momentary switch if you did the 3 position modification on it.

I don't know if cost is a factor, but RC4WD has a four channel 2.4 gig pistol radio for $85. the 2nd and 3rd channels are 3 position, and it has a 10 model memory. Its quality seems to be OK, and so far i have had no issues with mine. Extra recievers are only $30 as well. Just an option for people that don't want to spend huge cash on a radio.

I know my JR XR3 worked the way I described, but that thing is old too so it may have just been a fluke thing.. I think that RC4WD might just be the ticket for me. Thanks guys.

I know on the 3-4pk ya can set momentary switches that do that and I think the 3pm x has a momentary too.
